Well, I had a space dream. I never have dreams about space, and I can actually pinpoint the last one I had - Freshman year of college, so like 3 years ago. I remember this because I woke up hysterically crying, and it was one of my more terrible nightmares in my adult life. Maybe I'll write about it later, but for now, here's my dream from last night.
I don't remember why but I was clinging the the outside of this spacecraft, hanging uselessly somewhere in space. I didn't have a space suit on and I was dying from some type of injuries. I don't know why I had all the injuries, and I don't know if the craft I was clinging to was alien or domestic, but for whatever reason there I was. I know there was another person on the other side of the small craft clinging to it as well a friend of mine, but I don't remember who it was. All I know was that my situation was helpless and I found myself wishing for death. As I didn't have a space suit, I couldn't figure out why I wouldn't just die already.
Would I have to wait to starve? This was my first thought...
Would I die from my injuries? And what were they even from?...
Would I suffocate? I was in space after all...
And why the bloody hell was this taking so long? Couldn't death just come swiftly and save me from this terribly quiet and frightening place I was at?
...The twinkling stars mocked me.
I let go of the craft hoping that drifting aimlessly would bring about a quicker death, but after a while I entered earth's atmosphere. Earth was practically glowing, even though as I fell farther and farther, plummeting swiftly to the ground, I realized it was night time. But all I could do was smile because finally my impact would bring a swift death. I didn't watch the ground and I felt so strangely at peace. I just closed my eyes and smiled, waiting.
But when I fell closer to the ground, some invisible force stopped me and the impact was feather-light. I had landed in the middle of a tennis court and I was stunned for a minute. My injuries were gone, and I was surprisingly alive and intact. I knew it must be somewhere around 2 or 3 in the morning, but there were people mingling around the court, and they looked like thugs. I realized that though my previous problems had just ended, I was in a new predicament so I quickly hightailed it out of there. Luckily I ran into a cop who was berating some young kid about one thing or another, so I knew I'd be safe from them. I had landed in IU's campus (oddly enough), although it looked nothing like IU of course.
I found some friends that I knew who were sitting up talking around a TV and I was out of breath when I got there.
"Dude, you guys will never believe what just happened to me," I explained.
I quickly ran through my whole story to looks of shock.
"No seriously, I don't even have my car, how else would I have gotten here?" I said quickly (as if that was a reasonable explanation), which seemed to convince them or they at least humored me...
And then I woke up. I'm pretty sure I couldn't have slept more than 2 hours last night :/
Some interpretations:
To see or dream that you are in space, represents exploration and independent thinking. You are broadening your horizons and view
To see a spaceship in your dream, symbolizes your creative mind. It denotes a spiritual journey into the unknown and signals self-development and self-awareness.
To dream that you fall and are not frightened, signifies that you will overcome your adversities with ease.
I am keeping a Dream Journal now because I want to remember as many dreams as I can. Also, it is conducive to lucid dreaming. I apologize in advance because most of my dreams err on the less than pleasant side. Enjoy.

A Smattering
Hey there, I just wanted to say that I have been sleeping really poorly for the past... er... well its been a while and I honestly just haven't had enough of a solid dream to post on here yet. I have had a smattering of little things I can remember, and to be honest 2 of them have involved Harry Potter characters, lol.
One was when I found out that my not-so-secret crush, the fictional-albeit-sexy Severus Snape, was gay with Remus Lupin.
Also I had a dream I sexed up Draco Malfoy, but I won't get into that.
Also I had a dream that I had a big crush on my teacher who was actually the main character from Glee, the Glee coach, Mr. Something-or-rather.
And Last night I had a dream I had to sing some ridiculous song with a group in front of some club meeting or something, but instead I just set up two chairs and lounged while they were all singing, sending me scathing looks...
Anyway, you can see why I haven't updated anything. But as soon as I dream something worth jotting down, I'll let you know.

Give Me Wings
So, all I remember about this dream was that I went to a piercing/body modification place, or at least to a guy I knew that did it. I had him fasten 4 huge metal rods, about the diameter of a quarter to my back. At the end of the rods there was about a 1.5 inch hooks that were inserted into my back. Two at the shoulder blades and two farther down. When the four rods were in place I had him attach huge wings to my back. The wings were feathery, and resembled angels wings. They reached a few inches off the ground.
At first one was white and one was red, but towards the end of the dream they were both red. They were absolutely gorgeous. I remember I went to some party and showed everyone, and I could control them sort of. I remember saying to someone, in a bragging tone, "Yea, I mean, I can probably fly now." But I never actually had the chance to try flying, because I woke up.
*****
Some Interpretations:
To dream that you have wings, suggest new found freedom. You are on the right track and are soaring to success without limitations. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to escape from a difficult situation.
Alternatively: To dream that you have wings, foretells that you will experience grave fears for the safety of some one gone on a long journey away from you.
To dream that you have the wings of an angel, indicate your sweet, angelic quality. Or you may be in need of some protection from life's stresses and problems.
To dream of the color red suggests danger, stigma and even compulsion, particularly in sex.

Can't Sleep, So I Blog.
I am becoming an increasingly fitful sleeper. When I sleep I have bits of dreams, but usually I don't sleep. Melatonin? That does nothing. I took an Ambien (which I shouldn't have, because it's for my plane ride home) and two Melatonin the other night, and it didn't really help. /Dramatic sigh.
Last night I had a dream that I can only remember flashes of. There was a woman, married to a man. She had children. At one point I remember thinking they were my parents, but I'm not so sure. Anyway the father cheated on the mother and, even though he had previously been a great husband and father, proceeded to insult the mother in front of her children. I remember being personally hurt from this, as if it was my own family. It was really sad. It was like 20 some years down the drain, with no previous indicators that he would stray.
Later in the dream, I saw a tanned woman (I don't know if this was the woman he cheated on her with or not). Anyway she was pretty dark skinned, but not black. Maybe an islander. She was beautiful. She had on a bright, hot pink outfit and bright pink hair, in a longer pixie cut, all frayed out to the sides. It matched so perfectly with her skin tone and her perfect features... I don't know what she had to do with anything, but alas, there she was.
Some Interpretations:
Alternatively, cheating dreams reflect the intensity of your sexual passion; you are exploring areas of your sexuality. In this scenario, the dream may actually serve as a reaffirmation of your commitment. [[To dream that your mate, spouse, or significant other is cheating on you, indicates your fears of being abandoned. You may feel a lack of attention in the relationship. Alternatively, you may feel that you are not measuring up to the expectations of others.]]
The appearance of hot pink color in your dream, represents sex and lust.
To dream that you or someone is extraordinarily beautiful, refers to aspects of yourself that you admire and appreciate. These may be feelings that you have recently acknowledged or have incorporated into yourself. The dream may also be reminding you not to take yourself for granted. Do not sell yourself short.

Venus Fly Traps and a Fist Fight
So the first dream I was in my house, which wasn't really my house. My parents and my little brother were there. We were all in the kitchen. I looked to my right and I see these random Venus Fly Traps, all in a row. My father tells me not to touch them. Then I'm under water (as is typical in my dreams), and I'm trying to swim underneath them, my brother is right behind me, and my foot barely touches them. Just then the plants spit out this dark green poison. It immediately hurts really bad, well "dream hurt" anyway. It hurts so bad, but I know that it's hit my brother and my family and it's deadly. I look back (still underwater) and they're all losing conscience. My mother has managed to get out but I grab both my father and brother's wrists and try to pull them out of the house, all the while fighting the poison that's making me want to pass out as well.

The second dream started where I was in this beat up house. Apparently I had bought some "Goods" from some guy. I paid him but never received anything. I came back to get the goods and he said he had already used them. I was in a rage, like dude gimme my stuff! He just laughed and said too bad, I took too long. I told him to give me my money back, and he refused. I pushed him and he pushed me back. I slapped him in the face and he pushed me really hard. I picked up some random and conveniently placed bucket that someone had pissed in and put it on his head, face down. He raged and threw it off at me and hit me in the face. I punched him. Things got pretty ugly. I told him to just give me my money back and I would just leave. He gave me my money and I left. I was in the car, parked when I thought something seemed funny. I pulled out the money he gave me and realized it was all fake. There was even a 9 dollar bill in there. I sort of laughed to myself like, Damn, I'm an idiot. I pulled out my phone and texted him "Tricky" and that was it.
***
I had two more dreams after that but I'm too lazy to write them down and they were too splotchy to remember enough to bother.
SOME INTERPRETATIONS:
To see a Venus flytrap in your dream, symbolizes the devouring female. It refers to a powerful or overbearing woman in your life. Alternatively, the dream may be a metaphor that you are feeling "snappy."
To dream that you are breathing underwater, represents a retreat back into the womb. You want to return to a state where you were dependent and free from responsibilities. Perhaps you are feeling helpless, unable to fulfill your own needs and to care for yourself. Alternatively, breathing underwater is analogous to being submerged in your own emotions.
To dream that you ingest poison, indicates that you are introducing something into yourself that is harmful to your well-being. This may be feelings of bitterness, jealousy or other negative feelings that are consuming you.
To dream that you are being rescued or rescue others, represents an aspect of yourself that has been neglected or ignored. You are trying to find a way to express this neglected part of yourself.
To dream that you are in possession of or taking drugs, signifies your need for a "quick fix" or an escape from reality. You may be turning to a potentially harmful alternative as an instant escape from your problems.
To dream that you are in a fight, indicates inner turmoil. Some aspect of yourself is in conflict with another aspect of yourself. Perhaps an unresolved or unacknowledged part is fighting for its right to be heard. It may also parallel a fight or struggle that you are going through in your waking life.
To dream that something or someone is fake, suggests that you are pretending to be someone you are not. You are putting up front because you are afraid to show your true self.
